Madeleine Dellamonica (née Fortin; born 23 July 1912, 9th arrondissement of Paris) is a French supercentenarian,[1][2] whose age has been confirmed by the Gerontology Research Group[3] and LongeviQuest.[4] On 10 February 2026, following the death of Marie-Rose Tessier, she became the oldest living person in France.[5][6]. She is the third oldest living person in Europe[7] and the eleventh oldest living person in the world.[8] Her age is 113 years, 243 days.[9]

Biography

Madeleine Fortin was born on 23 July 1912 in Paris, France, to Jean Fortin and Marie Molinette.[3] She attended the Jeanne secondary school in Le Vézinnes, and then studied Egyptology at the Ecole du Louvre.[4]

On 25 April 1933, she married Rodolphe Delamonique; they lived together for 58 years until his death in January 1992.[4]

She celebrated her 100th birthday in 2012 with two school friends: Lucie Desmoulins and Jeanne Papis.[4] She currently resides in Le Vésinet, France, at the age of 113 years, 243 days.[10]
